Went today. Smaller than I expected but interesting.

Cornwall

Just back from a scary walk along the cliff top (I don't have a good head for heights!) and to make it worse so dull and grey that no real photo opportunities but the pub lunch was good!

Paralympics

Just back from the athletics.  What an experience!!!!!!!!!!
Saw Richard Whitehead get gold - noise in the Stadium measured as louder than a Jumbo jet taking off.
Also saw Houssein Omar Hassan in the 1500 metres.  He finished last in 11 minutes 23.50 seconds (two laps behind the runner who finished second last in 4 minutes 30 seconds) having hurt his ankle at the start.  Everybody was on their feet clapping him for the two laps - very emotional!
No problems with travel or security.  Lots of people with cameras and long lenses who seemed to get in ok but I did not take the risk.

Olympics

Was at the football final yesterday.  Read all the restrictions and did not take an inter-changeable lens camera (which were banned) according to the website.
But when I got there lots of people had interchangeable lens cameras without there appearing to be any difficulty.  Oh well - but think how smug I would have been if they had all been turned away (not really).

Art Expo and other things

Would be good to see the first Eastbourne Art Expo on 25th August but not sure we will be around.  But make sure you go!
Great sunrise and clouds this morning.  Getting into this Olympic "thing".  The visit to the Park was great and off to the football final next Saturday (but no GB) and to the Paralympics athletics on 1st September.
