Sony Nex 5N - A users review - Part 2

So I promised to say more about the EVF. Basically it is very expensive and very good, but over the last few days have been experimenting more without it. Of course I do not like holding the camera so as to be able to view the intended image on the LCD screen, but the saving in bulk is very noticeable. So for the next few days/weeks I am going to try and not use the EVF, but takeit with me for the occasions when it would be useful.

Sony Nex 5N - A users review.

I have now had the camera for a good number of months, certainly sufficient to have had experience using the camera in a number of different situations.  When I purchased the camera it came with the standard 18-55 kit lens and at the same time I bought the electronic viewfinder (both a blessing and a pain - more later).  Since then I have bought the 16mm lens and an adaptor to go with an old Canon f/1.8 50mm.  Overall there are some good, in fact excellent, aspects as well as some frustrations.

First the main plus point - image quality is very good, in fact very very good.  Certainly on a par with my Canon 7D which I suppose it ought to be as they have the same size sensor.
