In the Park. No train, tube, or any other issues. Really smooth journey. Now to look around. Now on train home. No problems at all. Seats on tube both ways. No queues. Great stadium and park. For the first real day all ran smoothly

At last - sun!

So today off to Hastings and took a number of images followed by using the Zorki 4K.  Still have to get used to waiting to see the results!
And went to the 1066 Mono Photographic Exhibition.  Some very good work.

Still experimenting......

.... so now my Zorki 4K has film loaded but I have meetings all today and tomorrow and out all weekend - so will need to wait, and
....second attempt at transferring prints to canvas boards using Golden Gel - won't be dry until tomorrow, and
....first attempt at transferring prints directly to a layer of Golden Gel -a wait and see as drying time is very long, and
....have just made my first print onto Digital Transfer Film - interesting result - kind of glows - but more experimenting needed.

Back to basics......

Just bought a Zorki 4K off eBay (well I can't afford Leica prices).
Film on order and then we will see whether I can remember the "sunny 16"  rule !  Although I ought to also look up the "rainy "x""  rule!
The camera looks ok - seems to fire on all shutter speeds and at a change of speed.  Came with a Jupiter-8 50m lens.
Fingers crossed.

London 2012 - Photography

This is stupid.  The "rules" if you intend going to an event at Wembley Stadium include that you cannot take

 " professional-style cameras (any camera with interchangeable lenses)" 

and if you do they will be confiscated - no mention of whether you can get them back.  LOCOG say staff will be sensible but cannot offer any more advice.

So -

1.  Beware, and 

2.  e-mail LOCOG to protest that the rules are not clear enough

Eastbourne pier

Early morning on the seafront - see previous post.

Today

....was a beautiful morning - at 06:30 I was on the promenade looking at the sunrise (and photographing it) over Eastbourne pier.
But have been so busy since have not even had time to look at them!
Spent yesterday evening preparing some images for a number of "art" ( as opposed to photography) competitions and experimenting with transferring images to canvas using a gel medium to get that painterly look.  More practice needed I think!
